    Weatherguards or protective wraps, are used to protect your awning canopy from the elements. Sun, wind, rain, and dust can cause irreparable damage to your awning canopy if not properly safeguarded. Ensure that your awning is protected while on the road with a Carefree weatherguard. Select a guard from our various options and colors and know that your awning will be secure while on your next adventure.

    Uniguard is a single piece metal wrap designed to protect your awning canopy from the elements while at the same time offering a streamlined the look to your Carefree product. Uniguard comes in your choice of Black, White or Satin.

    Alumaguard is a metal wrap featuring a patented design that catches and channels water away from your awning canopy. Every slat features a vinyl seal that compresses and prevents leakage and the aluminum wrap offers protection from the sun, wind, rain, and dust while traveling to your next destination. Alumaguard comes in your choice of Black, White or Satin.


    FLXguard is a lightweight yet rugged guard designed from a proprietary polymer developed by Carefree. Because it is a specialized plastic, it offers greater flexibility with the same protective properties as our more expensive metal wraps. The flexible material rolls up with your awning to protect the fabric when you're on the road. FLXguard is available in your choice of Black or White.

    With the new Carefree Connects Wireless Awning Control System from Carefree of Colorado, you are now able to fully control your awning via the Carefree Mobile app on your favorite smart device. No longer do you have to get up from your comfy chair to open and close the awning or to adjust the brightness of the LED lighting. You can even control the sensitivity of your awning's Motion Sensor for maximum protection during periods of inclement weather.
    • Awnings can be controlled via Carefree's Bluetooth® app or the control fob.
    • The Control Module (located behind the control switch inside the RV) is the key to operation, receiving remote signals from the app or fob to activate awning functions.
    • The motion sensor detects sustained motion from inclement weather automatically retracting the awning.
    • BT12 works with Carefree 12-volt awnings.
