+ Terms & Definitions

Patio Awning	This is the typical awning you see on the side of a vehicle that provides a shaded area to sit and relax. Our Patio Awnings can be powered or manual and come in three different versions: Vertical Arm, Horizontal Arm & Box Awning
Companion Awning	These are the smaller awnings that would go over a door or window. These come in powered or manual.
Slide Topper	These awnings are attached to your slide rooms and will extend/retract with the slide room. These are primarily designed to keep any debris, like branches or leaves, off of the roof of the slide to protect the seals.

	Vertical Arm	This is the most common type of Patio Awning. When the awning is closed you will see the two support arms mounted vertically on the side of the vehicle and when the awning opens they scissor. These come in both powered & manual versions.
	Horizontal Arm	These are far more uncommon. Currently we only have 1 line of Horizontal Arm awnings. When this awning is closed the two horizontal arms fold in half and tuck up under the roller tube. When opened those two arms extend to provide the shade.
	Box Awning	These are becoming more and more popular as conversion vans gain in popularity. When these are closed all you see is the case, or box, that the awning hides in. When opened the lead rail gets pushed away from the case extending the fabric to provide the shaded area. Our box awnings come in a variety of options. The 12V versions can support legs that hide in the lead rail or it can have no support legs at all. The version with support legs comes in both powered & manual, the version without support legs is powered only. We also have a few 110V versions of the box awnings that are always powered.
