Carefree of Colorado Vendors
Product / Shipment Labeling Standards
- Packing List: All shipments must include a packing list. For large shipments, such as, but not limited to, truckload or container shipments, the packing list must be easily and obviously accessible before unloading the shipment. Packing lists must include the vendor’s name and address, vendor contact information, Carefree’s purchase order number, and a bill-of-lading number, tracking number, or other unique identifier. For each item delivered, the packing list must also include Carefree’s purchase order line number, Carefree’s part number, description, and quantity.
- Package Labeling: Every individual item, box, or package must be labeled with Carefree’s part number, description, and quantity in human readable form. In addition, each individual item, box, or package must be labeled with Carefree’s part number and quantity in machine readable (bar coded) from. Bar codes must be code 128 (preferred) or code 39 (acceptable). Bar codes must conform to ISO 15416 (ANSI X3.182-1990) for quality and readability, be scaled as appropriate for different size packages, and be easily accessible without moving, opening, or re-stacking.
- Labeling Errors / Problems: At Carefree’s option, shipments with missing or incomplete packing lists or missing, incomplete, or unreadable package labels will be subject to a re-labeling charge or will be returned at the vendor’s expense.
