With characteristics entirely different than vinyl, here's what you should know about acrylic fabrics:

Awnings used in commercial applications use woven acrylic cloth. They sit out there all year long and take a brutal beating. Burning sun, drenching rain. Freezing ice and snow. Wicked winds, dust, dirt and bugs. Over the years no other material has proven to be as durable and weather resistant.

Air circulates through the fabric so dew and rain can quickly dry. It's OK to roll it up wet, though we recommend - when convenient - to roll it out, hose it off and let it dry. Never use anything other than mild soap to clean the fabric. It doesn't take much maintenance to minimize mildew and keep its vibrant colors for years.

Because acrylic fabrics are woven cloth, when it rains, don't run your hand across the bottom of the canopy. If you do, you'll break the water tension on the underside of the fabric and water will drip on your head.
